This is spot-on advice! I’m grateful to have the space to do this with my 78-year old aunt. I’m visiting her every few months, part of that time spent capturing her stories about our family history. She has an amazing “picture wall” including some ancestors from the early 1900s. I record her using voice memos and save in a note w corresponding pics.

My ambition is to add these to family trees on Ancestry.com. In addition to photos, you can add documents & recordings!

I love that! Oral history is so important and something we forget to do-or are shy about doing. I talked to my parents about doing this for their artwork that they have collected on their trips so I know the personal history of them.
